A deed (escritura), a gift of property or a power of attorney are important acts: they commit your assets and sometimes your family’s. Before you sign, it is essential to understand what you are signing and what its consequences are.
Our director’s notarial training allows the firm to advise you with a complete perspective before you sign: we review titles and documents, explain each step and its costs, and support you up to the signing of the deed, which takes place before the appropriate notary (escribano).
What can we advise you on?
- Buying or selling a property: review of the title and documents.
- Gifts to children or other relatives.
- Powers of attorney: which type suits you and what scope to give it.
- Pending or problematic deeds (escrituras).
- Family estate planning.
What the firm does — and does not do
Dra. Garín holds a notary degree (escribana), but she does not hold a notarial registry. The firm advises: it does not sign or authorize deeds, powers of attorney or certifications. Those acts are executed by a notary (escribano) who holds a registry, and we support you up to that point.

Frequently asked questions
Can the firm execute my deed?
No. Dra. Garín holds a notary degree, but she does not hold a notarial registry. The firm advises and supports you; the deed is signed before the appropriate notary (escribano).
Why do I need advice if I already have a notary?
Our advice focuses on your interests: we review the transaction, explain the risks and answer your questions before you sign.
What is a gift of property, and what should I bear in mind?
It means transferring an asset without receiving anything in return. It can affect the inheritance and any future sale of the asset, so it is worth getting advice beforehand.
